Roasting Marshmallows

Ah yes, In the state of Minnesota, we can only have fountains and sparkler types of fireworks. While Fes has the obvious illegal kind, even the Minnesota legal one are not allowed in state parks whatsoever.

Enter the Ranger

Yay! A new character I meant to have over 12 strips ago! This is Ranger Bob. Who's name may only be punny to Canadians... and doubly punny if you know who Ranger Rick is.

In any case, I'm just moving along the story a bit more. There should be another character in November coming into the fray too. Not neccessarily continuous characters, but they are at least not nameless characters that don't influence the story... unlike that rabbit clerk in the park office.

Again, lateness due to work. My goal is to keep updating M-W-F without bleeding into T-T-S-S at all. Anyway, Lucy is leaving today. THANKS FOR COMING LUCY! Also, Thanks to Mat Sherer for letting me borrow Lucy from Badly Drawn Kitties!!

Sorry for the late update!! MUCH later than I planned but work ran WAY LATE today! Anyway, Yes, in case you have not read the archives, let me explain. The world of this comic has basically all land animals as Anthropomorphic beings. Therefore, the foodsource has to change. I don't like doing things as "taboo" so I came up with plants and bugs as the new food source. Also Bugs double as the "wildlife" so they are much bigger than normal.

So there.

Also, please note that I will be trying out a new message board! Click the link on the sidebar. I plan to eliminate this Blogger thing, as it seems cumbersome.

Infendo Radio #29

Infendo Radio #29 is up and available for download! I compare the 360 to the Wii a bit, and then mention the lack of ads for the Wii. The segment gets warmed up at about 14:38.

Always having to be right.

Who can really argue of who is the worst of worst singers? Lucy used to do CD reviews for a company called "Sonica" back in the day. In any case, next week, I think, will be Lucy's last week with PSI. After that I got to get to the evening and the next day. Fes and Ernst are going to be pissed they missed all of Autumn because its going to be winter when thry get back from their summer vacation.

Good Company.

Sometimes there is no good company except for argumentative company... Well maybe not for Ernst, but Fes certainly enjoys it. I wanted to do more with the Tailrazor band and Jezzebel (courtesy of Marcy Osedo), but the story and time frame did not work out well. As far as I know, Jezzebel appears in no other comic (that I could find) other than Badly Drawn Kitties.

Ernst is Hungry on Yom Kippur

Well Ernst isn't Jewish, so he can still eat. I just wanted to acknowledge the biggest (I think) Jewish holiday since it seems to get overlooked a lot. So to those that celebrate Yom Kippur: Have a good fasting and all else that is done!

Fake except for the pain?

For those of you that did not know, Lucy was once apart of New Talian Professional Wresting for a short while. Right now we seem to moving along at a good clip, as I managed to tell a joke in one strip.

Comic finally up. Hopefully I can start the funny now. Could not think of a funny way to introduce Lucy because I had Ernst forget about the Tent and Stick... And I just had to have continuity. Oh well, I'm sure it will read better in the archives.

Holiday Special

To the Jewish and Pagan viewers out there. Have a merry Rosh Hashanah and Mabon (Autumn Equinox)! Holiday comics are going to be somewhat simple like this. I will usually try to have something for various major holidays.

EDIT: Apparently it's Ramadan (sp?) today was well. To those that fast for Ramadan, have a good fasting.

Start the Music

Yea, not really a funny comic today. But not every comic needs to be that funny when I am trying to progress the story. No Sunday Diversion this weekend because I need to concentrate on the main part of this story. I'm just glad I got a jab against that HEAD ON product before they aired commercials jabbing themselves. Side note: While no Sunday Diversion. I'm going to try and post a Holiday Comic tomorrow. Something simple for the two Holidays that land on this Saturday.

Someone New

Someone new has popped in. Lucy! From Mat Sherer's Badly Drawn Kitties! Yes not too much funny today, but more to come on Friday! If you don't know why Ernst is calling her "Monica Sweet", stay tuned! If you do know, stay tuned anyway!

Well Fes and Ernst finally get to camp! And for those that don't know Fes' real name is "David" and he just goes by his nickname... Just in case you didn't read up in the about section. Anyway, that will come up in the comic next week Wednesday or Friday when Lucy, from Badly Drawn Kitties, will be stopping by!

Also, Check Sunday for a new Sunday Diversion comic, and the Monday for the main story!

Happy Birthday to Fes!

It's Fes's and my (Fesworks) birthday today! Yay! Ernst's birthday will be on 10-26. How old am I? Not telling, so there.

What is in store in the NEAR future? Mat Sherer's Lucy from Badly Drawn Kitties fame will be a special guest in the current arc! Hopefully this will happen next week. I'm taking special care to have a good story and interactions as well as character design. This is the first time I am actually doing something specifically planned. So stay tuned!

Respect without Politics (#14)

Comic is up. I could not really think of what to do for today without being too political. And being real political is not what I intend for this comic, nor should be a subject matter for today anyway.

So this is what I came up with. Progress the story, yet being respectful. I don't need to try and squeeze a joke in all the time either. And it works out ok this way too.

Sunday Diversions #1

Well here we go. Something new I'm going to try.... not much to say here since I explain it all in the "comic". Sunday Diversions will be seperated from the main Arc in the archives. This may help for when I want to do a random comic. Or want to break the 4th wall directly than through my personas Fes and Enrst.

Also, check out my ABOUT page. There is new stuff to read at the top. Give some insight into myself (portrayed as an Anthro-Wolf), Fes, & Ernst. We are all one, but all seperate.

Going Camping! #13

Part 13 is now up for your viewing pleasure! Again from #12, the Crayon Car returns from Badly Drawn Kitties fame! As well as a quick play on some of those 'thoughts' sequences that Mat Sherer draws up as well.

There will be another Special Guest coming up in the Arc too, but I won't say when... because at the rate I do things never pans out as long as I think. But Hopefully soon.

Going Camping! #10

Part 10 is up! Yes, I know the fourth wall is being tampered with, but what can you expect when the two main characters are the personas of the artist, and are aware of who they are, but still prisoners of the world of their own making?

Anyway, I have just been accepted under the hosting of Xepher.net and I will be soon moving the comic over there as soon I as adjust some coding in all the pages for the new site. I will also have to update a number of comic sites of which this comic is listed on. Fesworks.com should soon redirect to the Xepher.net site by next week, and this site (hosted by atspace.com) will have redirect pages.

Part 9 is now up! I am on a roll! Hopefully people won't be angry that Ernst is wearing clothes now, but this outfit is temporary since it's still in joke context. I was going to say "Fanny Pack" in place of "Waist Pouch" but "fanny pack" seems to be a regional term... and might mean something else in other places.

Going Camping! #8

Alright! Part 8 updated today! Busted my butt Sunday night because I could not sleep. This comic went through 3 revisions before I settled on the direction and the joke. And now we know a bit more about the universe, and have an explanation for Ernst to now where clothes. Fes will change clothes after the first hike. I hope people like camping, because I predict that this arc is going to last another 30 strips at the minimum. But who cares! I'm having fun!

Next comic should appear on Wednesday night or Thursday morning.

Going Camping! #7

Comic 27 up! Part 7 to what will be a very long camping arc. But I am loving the direction this is going, and I have plenty of ideas! I am still slowly evolving my comic. As people may see, Ernst now as upgraded to Rat ears instead of mouse ears. AH and a resolution to the universe: If Anthro Furries exist alongside humans, what is the wildlife? Part 8 will reveal a bit more.

Also, What is with these guys breaking the fourth wall? Well, Fes & Ernst are both personas of myself... one of which is the webcomic artist. Which is myself. So the persona of myself that is Fes, is also what represents me as the artist... drawing himself and the world around him. While his other persona, Ernst, also knows this, but also lives along side the world. As of now, He has not realized that he's been "mutating", yet, into a more anthromorphic being. And soon he will be wearing clothes like everyone else.

Boy, its confusing isn't it?

New art style + Going Camping! #6

 Part 6 is up! I hope the new look is more pleasing to the eye and better to read! I love the new font, and I think the Inking and Gray scaling look great!

This is closer to what I originally wanted to do. You may have noticed that Ernst had sprouted thumbs a while back, and now has full legs. You see, I wanted to have Anthromorphic animals... but I was merely drawing them as Giant Animals that could talk. I am strongly considering to have the Anthomorphs to wear clothing... or at least some clothing, ala Yogi Bear style, to some extent.

PSI Whining

This is all I will have for now because I can't figure out how to properly embed the Blogger, NOR how to edit the Blogger code to get the look I want without messing up all the needed code.

Anyway, I'm going to try this and see how it works.
